Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start)

The Certificate II in Electrotechnology assists students in gaining the basic knowledge and skills required for the Electrotechnology industry and provides a pathway into an Electrotechnology Apprenticeship.

This qualification will assist students in gaining the knowledge and skills to resolve single path circuits and electrotechnology problems, dismantle and assemble equipment and fix and secure electrotechnology equipment to walls and metal fixings. Identify and select components and materials and safely use equipment and technologies within the energy sector. Possible Employment Pathways:

Online theory (supervised and self-paced) via Learning Management System
Research Projects and home reading to be completed as homework
80 hours (minimum) of Work Placement

Delivery Location

During the entire program you will have access to your trainer via phone or email during normal business hours, should you have any questions throughout completing the course.

Requirements for completion of this qualification

Units of Competency

To be awarded this qualification, competency must be achieved, and a total of 410 weighting points obtained through:

  • 270 core weighting points
  • 140 general elective weighting points
