This Skill Set is designed for those individuals wishing to undertake the testing, tagging and reporting of portable/handheld low voltage (LV) electrical equipment using a portable appliance tester (PAT).

This Skill Set provides the skills and knowledge required for the testing, tagging and reporting of portable/handheld low voltage (LV) electrical equipment using a portable appliance tester (PAT). It provides additional competencies to those already gained in the relevant field to which the electrical work is incidental or a primary and regular function of the work.
Follow work health and safety procedures while inspecting, checking, testing, tagging and documenting cord connected apparatus and cord assemblies.
Blended – Online theory (self-paced) via Learning Management System and 1 day practical training and assessment completed onsite at our campus once online theory has been completed.
Delivery Location
During the entire program you will have access to your trainer via phone or email during normal business hours, should you have any questions throughout completing the course.

There are no entry requirements for this skill set, however students with a colour vision deficiency should consult their trainers as some units may not be suitable.

Access to a computer/laptop and internet, a video and audio recording device (e.g. smart phone or web cam) and current email address.
