Australian Trade Training College are a Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO) and an approved Skills Assure Provider (SAS) under Queensland Governments User Choice program. The program works in conjunction with the Commonwealth Australian Apprenticeships system, under which apprentices and trainees enter into legally binding training contracts with their employers and receive structured training to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

Funding and Eligibility

To be eligible to enrol in an Apprenticeship or Traineeship under the User Choice Program, prospective students must:

  • be aged 13 years or older in most occupations
  • permanently reside in Queensland or to be registered as a Queensland apprentice or trainee, the workplace address must be in Queensland
  • be an Australian citizen or a New Zealand citizen who have entered Australia on a valid passport, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
  • not hold, and not be enrolled in, a certificate III or higher-level qualification, not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training
  • be employed by a willing employer that meets specific eligibility requirements
  • be aged 13 years or older in most occupations
  • permanently reside in Queensland or to be registered as a Queensland apprentice or trainee, the workplace address must be in Queensland

Automotive

Automotive qualifications offer you hands-on skills and training in an evolving a growing yet changing industry both in Australia and overseas.

Electrotechnology includes the design, maintenance, installation and repair for all electrical and electronic equipment.

The technology stretches across many sectors including mining, manufacturing, ICT and communications, construction, renewables, domestic and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning.

The Electrical Services industry (a subsector within Electrotechnology) involves electrical wiring or fittings in buildings and other construction projects, and repair and maintenance of existing electrical equipment and fixtures.
