The Certificate III in Joinery is a qualification completed through an apprenticeship enabling participants to learn essential construction skills, while developing the skills and knowledge to work as a joiner within residential and commercial applications.This qualification includes applying information from plans and drawings to fabricate and assemble components, stairs, doors and windows.Manufacture and assemble joinery and stair components and install windows and doors.Safely use hand and power tools and plant equipment and measure and draw site layout for manufactured furniture products.Possible Employment Pathways:

Units of Competency

To be awarded this qualification, competency must be achieved in 29 units of competency:

  • Eighteen (18) core units of competency
  • Eleven (11) elective units

Pre-requisite

White Card

To work on construction sites, the following Unit is a pre-requisite for the qualification:

  • CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

Access to a computer/laptop and internet, a video and audio recording device (e.g. smart phone or web cam) and current email address.
