Are you eager to explore the plumbing industry? The 11054NAT Certificate II in Plumbing Services is designed to give you a comprehensive introduction to plumbing, equipping you with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to kickstart your career and secure a plumbing apprenticeship.
What You’ll Learn:
- Hands-On Skills: Gain practical experience utilising various plumbing hand and power tools, cutting and joining sheet metal, carrying out levelling and measurements, and performing welding.
- Safety First: Understand and follow work health and safety requirements, identify risks and hazards, and learn procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Working at Heights: Gain expertise in working safely at heights and on roofs, including selecting and installing relevant signage and barriers, and checking and installing fall protection equipment.
Work Placement – Real Industry Experience:
As part of this course, you’ll complete 80 hours of work placement in the plumbing industry. You’ll receive a work experience logbook to record your tasks and hours, ensuring you gain valuable hands-on experience.
Our ATTC Student Placement Officer, along with your school VET coordinator, will assist you in finding suitable work experience opportunities, providing the support you need to succeed.
To achieve the qualification 11054NAT Certificate II in Plumbing Services, the learner must complete 18 units – 16 Core and 2 electives.

As part of the enrolment process, you will need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy indicator Assessment. This assessment is used to review your suitability for this course.

Work placement arrangements
Mandatory Work Experience in the Plumbing industry: As part of the Certificate II in Plumbing Services, students are required to complete 80 Hours of work placement in the Plumbing Industry

The Career Start Program provides individuals with the skills and support to start their career. Career Start offers either a general training pathway or employment-based apprenticeship or traineeship pathway.

Course Outcome
Students who are deemed competent in all units of competency will receive a Qualification and Students who are deemed competent in some units of competency only within this course will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Qualification or Statement is issued by Australian Trade Training College (RTO 31399)
