This nationally recognised qualification is designed for students who enjoy hands-on learning and want a strong introduction to the construction industry, with practical skills that translate directly to the worksite.
Throughout the course, you’ll gain real, job-ready experience working with tools, materials and equipment used across a range of construction trades. You’ll learn how projects come together from the ground up, while developing the confidence and capability to contribute safely and effectively in a construction environment.

As part of the enrolment process, you will need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy indicator Assessment. This assessment is used for reviewing your suitability for this course.

The Career Ready – VET in Schools Program has been designed to help you make good career and training choices, so you can leave school career-ready, informed and confident in what your future holds. Career Ready offers a general training pathway so that you can complete either a Certificate I or II while you are at school.

Course Outcome
Students who are deemed competent in all units of competency will receive a Qualification and Students who are deemed competent in some units of competency only within this course will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Qualification or Statement is issued by Australian Trade Training College (RTO 31399)
