This course supports compliance with the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Act 1966 and ACDC Regulation 2021 and is designed to meet the requirements for obtaining an ACDC Licence.

Licensed outcome
In Queensland an Agricultural Distribution Control / Commercial Operators Licence is required for those who ground spray herbicides with a powered machine as part of a job on land they don’t own or occupy.
Entry requirements
As part of the enrolment process, you will need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy indicator Assessment. This assessment is used for reviewing your suitability for this course.

Course Outcome
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework for the following units of competency:
- AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pests, weeds and diseases
- AHCCHM304 Transport, handle and store chemcials
This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Australian Trade Training College (RTO 31399)
Career Opportunities
Successful completion of this course and application for a Commercial Operator licence will enable you to utilise agricultural chemicals in a number of environments, including farming, agriculture, horticulture, grounds and maintenance, contract spraying, land care, green keeping, rural pest management, vegetable growers, orchards and more.
