With so many new opportunities for Trainers with the Australian Trade Training College, we asked our VET in Schools Head of Department, Jakob about his experience so far:

What do you find rewarding about your job here at Australian Trade Training College?

Jakob: “After starting at the Australian Trade Training College I have improved my training and management skills. I have been able to pass on all my knowledge to the next generation of tradespeople. To see a timid student who is new to the construction industry, transform into a confident and well-experienced apprentice is such a rewarding feeling and journey.”

Tell us about your career development during your time here?

Jakob: “I have been constantly given feedback and guided along the way through other trainers and management to help me grow as a trainer and assessor. I am very delighted to say I am now part of the leadership group here at the Australian Trade Training College and it’s all from the support you receive from colleagues and management.”

What would you say to those exploring a new opportunity with Australian Trade Training College?

Jakob: “I look forward to meeting the new fresh and keen trainers and mentors to join this amazing college and to help us improve the knowledge of the future tradespeople.”

If Jakob’s story has inspired you and you’d like to explore a Training role with us at ATTC, please register your interest and we will be in touch today.

What is a Card Verification Number (CVN)?

This is a 3 or 4 digit code that provides extra security for online payments. For Visa, Mastercard and Diners, this is a 3 digit number usually printed on the back of the signature panel. For Amex, this is the 4 digit number on the front of the card above the embossed card number.
