Manual handling injuries are among the most common workplace risks—and they’re preventable. This nationally recognised short course is designed to equip you with the practical skills and safety knowledge to move materials confidently and correctly across a wide range of industries.

Whether you’re working in warehousing, logistics, construction, manufacturing, mining, healthcare, or hospitality, this course helps you assess risks, plan movements, and apply safe manual handling techniques that align with current WHS/OHS regulations and Australian industry standards.

What You’ll Learn:

Students are encouraged to discuss any physical limitations or specific needs with our support team prior to enrolment so that reasonable adjustments can be considered to support their participation in the training program while maintaining the integrity of assessment outcomes.

As part of the enrolment process, you will need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy indicator Assessment. This assessment is used for reviewing your suitability for this course.

Course Outcome

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Australian Trade Training College (RTO 31399)
