Course Requirements

To enrol, participants must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Provide valid identification as per WorkSafe requirements
  • Wear mandatory PPE: safety boots, high-visibility shirt/vest, and hard hat

Certification & Licensing

Successful participants will receive:

  • A Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005
  • A High Risk Work Licence (Class WP) issued by the relevant WHS authority upon application

Licensed outcome

Competence in this unit does not in itself result in a licence. A licence is obtained after competence is assessed under applicable Commonwealth, state or territory work health and safety (WHS) regulations.

Successful completion of this course will allow Students to apply for the high-risk work licence – class WP.

Completion of training does not automatically grant a licence. Participants must apply for their HRWL within 60 days of assessment.

Some units of competency within this training program may involve physical activities, such as heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, or operating machinery, which may present challenges for individuals with physical limitations.

Students are encouraged to discuss any physical limitations or specific needs with our support team prior to enrolment so that reasonable adjustments can be considered to support their participation in the training program while maintaining the integrity of assessment outcomes.

As part of the enrolment process, you will need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy indicator Assessment. This assessment is used for reviewing your suitability for this course.

    • Enclosed footwear (steel cap preferred)
    • Long pants and long sleeve shirt
    • Hi Visibility Shirt or Vest
    • Hard Hat 
    • Safety glasses 

If students do not have a Hard Hat or Safety glasses: ATTC will provide for use if necessary.

Course Outcome

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Australian Trade Training College (RTO 31399)
