Want a job in construction, civil construction or manufacturing?
Australian Trade Training College is running a 4-week Female-only program designed to build skills and understanding of the Construction, Civil and Manufacturing industries. Your Trade Your Way provides participants with the foundations to enter the industry with technical training and employability skills.
Commencing at the Helensvale Library & Cultural Centre on the 18th November, 2024.
COURSE INCLUDES
>> Meet the employers at their workplaces and see the jobs available on a bus tour.
>> Support and funding available to work towards obtaining your driver’s license
- >Includes my drive school and 5 x 1hr driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor
>> An individualised employment pathway plan including ongoing mentoring and support.
>> Hands-on practical skills using hand and power tools

Designed to assist job seekers to find and sustain work, teaching self-efficacy and resilience to support the transition to the workforce

- TLID0020 Shift materials safely using manual handling methods

- Registered with Workforce Australia Employment Service Provider
- White card or willing to obtain (Cost:$100)
- Cohort: Female participants only
- Has a learner’s license or willing to obtain
- PPE Required: Steel-capped boots

Choose your industry
Construction, Carpentry & Joinery
Receive a nationally recognised qualification in the building and construction industry.
From carpentry and plumbing, to roofing and any field under general construction, you will learn all the right skills to work onsite with success competently and safely.
Leading to a variety of career opportunities and the potential to run your own business, this course suits those who work with their hands and enjoy solving problems.

Automotive
Automotive qualifications offer you hands-on skills and training in an evolving a growing yet changing industry both in Australia and overseas.
Learning about troubleshooting/ diagnosing processes when inspecting and testing electrical, mechanical systems, engines and their drive systems, carrying out service operations on both petrol and diesel vehicles/ machinery and other core skills that can lead to working on light and heavy vehicles, being a spare parts interpreter or an auto-electrician.
Pursue a career in the automotive industry if you’re interested in cars, trucks, agricultural equipment, possess good work technical skills, and work well with your hands!

Electrotechnology
Electrotechnology includes the design, maintenance, installation and repair for all electrical and electronic equipment.
The technology stretches across many sectors including mining, manufacturing, ICT and communications, construction, renewables, domestic and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning.
The Electrical Services industry (a subsector within Electrotechnology) involves electrical wiring or fittings in buildings and other construction projects, and repair and maintenance of existing electrical equipment and fixtures.

Engineering
Become qualified in an engineering trade specialising in a mechanical or fabrication career.
You will gain practical and technical skills required for a manufacturing function, creating potential career opportunities across the resources and mining industries.
Strong teamwork skills, coordination and problem-solving skills will help you succeed in this trade.

Plumbing
As a key occupation, plumbing is one of the top three occupations in the construction industry with both general and specialised plumbers in demand.
Plumbers perform a full range of plumbing services from skills in installing pipe work, testing and maintaining pipes, fixtures, gas regulators, installing pumps, gas appliances, water tanks, water heaters and water heating systems.
Plumbers with different specialisations are areas of particularly high demand.

Hospitality and Cookery
Hospitality and Cookery qualifications align learners to the standards expected in the environment of restaurants, hotels, clubs and accommodation.
Learners will gain the knowledge and practical skills to ensure smooth running of establishments that can include catering operations, kitchen operations, and commercial cookery.
These qualifications are perfect if you have a passion for hospitality, cookery, being customer-focused, and demonstrating professionalism.

Business and WHS
Business qualifications provide you the right skills to play a critical role in the operations of an organisation.
Learn and sharpen your abilities to complete the day-to-days steps across financial tasks, office technology tasks, IT tasks and formal writing tasks.
With diverse opportunities across schools, government and other service providers, this is an ideal qualification if you communicate well and follow instructions methodically – or even if you are looking to build your current skills in a management capacity.
