Want a job in construction, civil construction or manufacturing? 

Australian Trade Training College is running a 4-week Australian First Nations-only program designed to build skills and understanding of the Construction, Civil and Manufacturing industries. Your Trade Your Way provides participants with the foundations to enter the industry with technical training and employability skills.

Commencing at Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang on the 29th of July.

  • Registered with Workforce Australia Employment Service Provider
  • White card or willing to obtain on 29/07/2024 at 8 am (Cost:$100)
  • Cohort: First Nations participants only
  • Has a learner’s license or willing to obtain
  • PPE Required: Steel-capped boots

Monday to Friday from 8 am – 3 pm
3 Weeks of skillset training, capacity building and employability skills.

19/08/2024 – 23/08/2024
Monday to Friday (times TBA) Structured Workplace Learning.

Requirements for completion of this qualification

COURSE INCLUDES

  • Meet the employers at their workplaces and see the jobs available on a bus tour.
  • Support and funding available to work towards obtaining your driver’s license
    • Includes my drive school and 5 x 1hr driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor
  • An individualised employment pathway plan including ongoing mentoring and support.
  • Hands-on practical skills using hand and power tools
  • “This Works” Health and Employment Program
    • Designed to assist job seekers to find and sustain work, teaching self-efficacy and resilience to support the transition to the workforce

  • RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
  • RIIRIS301E Apply risk management processes
  • TLID0020 Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • CPCCCM2005 Use construction tools and equipment
