Certificate II in Engineering Pathways

The qualification is intended for individuals interested in exposure to an engineering or related working environment with a view to entering into employment in that area.

As an introduction to the engineering industry, this qualification will assist students in gain underpinning skills and knowledge in a range of engineering tasks. Use workshop and electric welding machines, produce project drawings, use hand and power tools and undertake a basic engineering project. Possible Employment Pathways:

  • Face to face classes including practical training and assessment at our campus
  • Online theory (supervised and self-paced) via Learning Management System
  • Research Projects and home reading to be completed as homework
  • 80 hours (minimum) of Work Placement

Delivery Location

  • Scarborough or Banyo Campus

During the entire program you will have access to your trainer via phone or email during normal business hours, should you have any questions throughout completing the course.

To be awarded this qualification, competency must be achieved in 12 units of competency:

  • Eight (8) elective units
