Work Health and Safety

A safe workplace is a necessity. Work health and safety (WHS) qualified personnel are needed in almost every business, and the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is the perfect way to play a role in the safety of your workplace, whilst upskilling your staff.

This training program provides a broad range of health and safety functions and responsibilities in the workplace including identifying hazards, assessing WHS risks, implementing strategies to control WHS risks and evaluating an organisation’s WHS performance.

Learners will gain an understanding of WHS management systems and risk management, workplace incident response, implementing continuous improvement, environmentally sustainable work practices, managing WHS compliance of contractors, WHS implications of return to work, workplace compliance with WHS laws, implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes.

This training program is designed for participants to gain a qualification in Work Health and Safety (WHS). On successful completion of the qualification participants will have the knowledge and skills to enable the provision of valid and timely WHS advice and assist with improving safety in the workplace.
