This course provides a trade outcome and can be undertaken through an apprenticeship or upskill through fee for service.
The course provides the skills required in painting and decorating for residential and commercial construction work.
The learner will develop skills in applying paint by brush and roller; applying texture coat paint finishes and clear stains; matching specified paint colours; applying decorative finishes and wallpaper, and treating lead paint hazards.
Requirements for completion of this qualification
To be awarded this qualification, competency must be achieved in 27 units of competency made up of 23 core units of competency and 4 elective units
